Role
As an Instructor at Future Capital, you will have the opportunity to shape work directly with our community of new and emerging startup investors. Working alongside our learning experience team, you will set the tone in our virtual classrooms. This role goes beyond delivering a lecture; you will take learners through an experiential learning path designed to meet them where they are at. Every instructor plays a key roll in enabling each member of our community to reach their full potential and invest like a pro.
This opportunity is remote-first.
responsibilities
Facilitating 30 - 90 minute learning sessions on startup investing.
Delivering Future Capital’s proprietary startup investing curriculum.
Curriculum content has been developed by Future Capital’s Learning Experience team.
Collaborating with the Learning Experience team to leverage feedback and insights on the learning
experience to enhance and expand the company’s overarching digital learning experience.
Representing the Future Capital team & brand to the best of their ability within their respective sessions.
Lead one-on-one coaching calls with Future Capital community members and course participants.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a startup operator, angel investor, venture capitalists or VC associate level role.
Passion for education, community development and instructional design.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong public speaking and facilitation skills a plus.
Sector-specific expertise (i.e. FinTech, CPG, A.I., etc.) a plus.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to translate complex ideas/concepts for specific audiences.
Experience engaging with senior executive leaders and start-up founders is an asset.
Investment experience is an asset.

PRODUCT designer (contract)

Role
As the Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of Future Capital’s product roadmap. Working alongside the CEO, you will set the priorities and direction for Future Capital’s member community. This role goes beyond project management; you will support the development and execution of both strategic & tactical plans that directly impact product development, marketing, and the overall growth of the company.
Report to the CEO, the Product Designer ensures the product brings ultimate value to the customer. The product designer supports the product development cycle through collaboration with different stakeholders in the organisation to identify, assess, and quantify reporting needs and process improvement opportunities.
This opportunity is remote-first.
responsibilities
Provide input and take part in definition of product roadmap
Work with leadership team on releases and upgrades
Follow progress of work and address production issues
Keep track of industry trends through market research
Work with development teams on a day-to-day basis and provide vision and feedback to help them deliver value to customers
Work closely with design, development, and QA to ensure product is delivered on time and with utmost quality
Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
Help improve product delivery processes
Provide the voice of the user to the development teams and ensure that teams have clear understanding of what they are developing and the value it delivers
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience building technical products in a growth environment.
5+ years of experience in user experience, visual design, and prototyping for consumer web/mobile interfaces.
Lead in a collaborative cross-disciplinary environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and strong visual skills and show mastery of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to translate business goals with design solutions that drive meaningful product value.
Previous experience working in fintech or online learning a plus.
A minimum of 3 years working in an early-stage startup environment.
A growth hacker mindset.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to translate complex ideas/concepts for specific audiences.
Experience engaging with senior executive leaders and start-up founders is an asset.
Investment experience is an asset.
